1. ABOUT VELVET PAGES

Velvet Pages is an independent magazine and creative platform operated as a Dutch general partnership (vennootschap onder firma / VOF).

In these Terms & Conditions, “Velvet Pages”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Velvet Pages.

  1. PRODUCTS

Velvet Pages operates an online shop through which we sell our magazine, clothing and merchandise, as well as other selected products and objects.


We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, colours, sizes and other information on our website are accurate. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.


Some products may be available in limited quantities. If a product is no longer available after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund the amount paid for the unavailable product.

  1. ORDERS

By placing an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.


After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. The purchase agreement is concluded once we have confirmed your order.


We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a reasonable reason to do so, for example in the event of an obvious pricing, technical or stock error.


If we cancel an order after payment has been made, the full amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.

4. PRICES & PAYMENT

All prices displayed on our website are in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.


Shipping costs are displayed separately during the checkout process before you complete your purchase.


We accept the payment methods displayed on our website at the time of purchase.

Payment must be completed before an order is shipped.


We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors on our website. If an incorrect price has been displayed and you have already placed an order, we will contact you before processing the order.

5. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

We currently ship orders throughout Europe. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.


We aim to dispatch orders within 1–3 business days after payment has been received. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and shipping provider. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside of our control, including delays caused by postal or delivery services.


If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us at info@velvetpagesmagazine.com with your order number so that we can assist you.

6. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL & RETURNS

Consumers purchasing products online generally have a statutory right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days, subject to applicable legal exceptions. The withdrawal period for products starts on the day after you, or a person designated by you, receives the product.


Magazines

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to individual copies of newspapers and magazines. This means that individual copies of Velvet Pages magazines purchased through our online shop cannot be returned under the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. This does not affect your statutory rights if a magazine arrives damaged, defective or does not correspond with your order.


Merchandise and other products

For merchandise and other products for which the statutory right of withdrawal applies, you may notify us within 14 days of receiving the product that you wish to withdraw from your purchase. You do not need to provide a reason. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact info@velvetpagesmagazine.com. After notifying us, the product must be returned within 14 days. Products should be returned unused and, where reasonably possible, in their original condition and packaging. You are responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product.

Unless the product is defective, damaged or incorrect, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the product.


Refunds

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, we will refund the purchase price and the standard delivery costs paid for the original shipment. We will issue the refund within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal notification. We may wait with the refund until we have received the returned product or until you have provided evidence that you have sent it back, whichever occurs first. Refunds will generally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase. If you selected a more expensive delivery option than our standard delivery method, we are not required to refund the additional cost.

7. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In addition to individual copies of newspapers and magazines, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain products or circumstances provided for by law. If a specific product is excluded from the right of withdrawal, this will be clearly stated on the relevant product page before purchase.

8. DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

If your product arrives damaged, defective or is different from what you ordered, please contact us at info@velvetpagesmagazine.com as soon as possible. Please include your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the issue. We will assess the situation and, where appropriate, offer a repair, replacement, refund or another appropriate solution in accordance with applicable consumer law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.

9. SALE ITEMS

Products purchased during a sale or promotional period are subject to the same statutory consumer rights as products purchased at full price. A reduced price does not affect your legal rights in relation to defective or non-conforming products.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content published on the Velvet Pages website and in Velvet Pages publications, including but not limited to photographs, illustrations, artwork, editorial content, written content, graphics, logos, trademarks, designs, layouts, videos and other creative materials, is owned by or licensed to Velvet Pages and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell or commercially exploit any of our content without our prior written permission. Purchasing a Velvet Pages publication or merchandise does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

11. WEBSITE CONTENT

We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that all information is always complete, accurate or free from errors. We reserve the right to update, change or remove website content, products and prices at any time. Such changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed, unless required by law.

12. PRIVACY

When you place an order or otherwise interact with Velvet Pages, we may process your personal information in order to fulfil your purchase, provide our services and communicate with you. For more information about how we collect, use and protect your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.

13. COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint about your order, product or our service, please contact info@velvetpagesmagazine.com. Please include your order number and a clear description of your complaint. We will do our best to respond within a reasonable period and work with you towards an appropriate solution.

14. LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Velvet Pages is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your purchase is the version available on our website at the time you place your order. The date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms & Conditions were last updated.

16. APPLICABLE LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer residing in another country within the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply to you under the law of your country of residence. Any disputes will, where permitted by law, be submitted to the competent courts of the Netherlands.
